Ashvale Haulage LTD has this morning been awarded the FORS Gold status be the Fleet operator recognition scheme, the highest grade achievable for fleet operators. We are extremely proud of this achievement and believe it further demonstrates our commitment to being a better, safer and more sustainable business. 

The FORS scheme sets the highest standard for aspects in the freight and haulage industry including safety, fuel efficiency, economical practices, emissions and improving social responsibility within the sector. Values that align themselves with those held by the M O’Brien group. 

Ashvale Haulage has always been renowned for the highest specification of vehicles with the latest euro 6 engines and latest safety features as standard, features that have helped us improve public and site safety. Looking into the future we have placed orders for Direct vision vehicles in the form of new “low cab” tipper lorries, a directive that is not enforceable until 2024, however, the M O’Brien Group is proactive and supports the direct vision initiative that will advance safety further and reduce the likelihood of collisions with vulnerable road users. 

We have been promoting FORS to our supply chain and require a minimum of Fors Bronze standard for all HGV movements to our operating centres and sites.
